Hi! My name is Merrick Farris, and I am a visual creative focused primarily on various forms of image making, in design and photography. My experience includes working with in-house graphic systems, creating branding systems, and making social media campaigns. Additionally, I have experience making portraiture, band photography, and concert documentation. I have also had my work displayed in a solo exhibition at the KU Chalmers Corridor gallery and was awarded the Amsden Art History Award in 2019.
I am currently working on photographic projects ranging from portraiture, documentary, and landscape in the Lawrence community. I initially started photography on my own, teaching myself through a 35mm film camera that I would go on to process the film in my bathroom and scan myself, which is what made me fall in love with the medium. Since then, I have developed my own DSLR scanning setup for digitizing negatives.
